Histology is a branch of biology concerned with studying the microanatomy composition and structure of animal cells, tissues and organs as seen through a microscope. It also examines the correlation between structure and function and the properties of different animal body tissues and how it affects animal function differently. Also, the student studies the cellular structure of the organs and systems these helps in the microscopic identification and study of diseases, in addition to studying the difference between various species on cellular and tissue structure level.
